Current Open Positions at Our Durham Headquarters
We’re currently seeking talented, motivated individuals to fill the following roles at our Durham hub:
1. Local Movers / Moving Assistants (Full & Part-Time)
This is the heart of our operation. You will be responsible for providing exceptional physical labor and customer service on residential and commercial moves.
- Core Responsibilities: Packing, carefully loading and unloading moving trucks, furniture disassembly and reassembly, and protecting customer homes and belongings.
- Requirements: Physical stamina and ability to safely lift and carry 75 lbs or more with a partner. Demonstrated reliability, strong attention to detail, and a positive, customer-first attitude.
- Training Provided: We provide comprehensive paid training on proper moving techniques and inventory procedures. No prior experience is required—just a strong work ethic.
2. CDL-A & CDL-B Drivers (Full-Time)
We rely on our professional drivers to safely and efficiently transport our customers' most valuable possessions. This role involves both driving and assisting the crew with moving duties.
- Core Responsibilities: Operating and maintaining our fleet of box trucks/moving vans, navigating efficiently between the Triangle and surrounding areas, including cross-state routes, and ensuring all required paperwork (logs, DOT compliance) is accurate.
- Requirements: Valid CDL-A or CDL-B license. Clean driving record. A minimum of one year of experience operating large vehicles. Excellent communication skills and professionalism.
- Logistics Focus: Drivers play a key role in vehicle inspection and route optimization, contributing significantly to our operational efficiency.
3. Crew Leaders / Team Leads (Experience Required)
The Crew Leader is the face of CJ Moving Services LLC on site. This leadership role is responsible for the overall success and safety of the moving team and the customer experience.
- Requirements: Proven leadership experience (1+ years in a team lead/supervisor role). Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills. Must hold a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required). Demonstrated ability to train, motivate, and manage team members effectively.

Our Durham Headquarters & Service Area
As a premier provider of mover jobs in Durham NC, our team is based centrally in the Triangle.
- Office Address (Durham Base): 2212 S Miami Blvd, Durham, NC 27703
- Work Locations: While based in Durham, your job sites will include the entire 35-mile service area (Raleigh, Cary, Apex, Chapel Hill). CDL drivers may have opportunities for interstate travel.
- The Moving Season: While we offer year-round employment, our peak season is May through September. Employees must have excellent availability during this time. We cross-train our teams to maintain consistent employment and high standards during all seasons.
